    2. Hunting for information on Richmond Remington who lived in Coventry, near Arkwright . He was married to Rose Wickes. His name appears in the census records for 1810 and 1820. He apparently killed his wife and himself in May of 1823. Can anyone help me find the details of this crime? Who were his parents?

    3. Hi: Thereis a web sight on Roots web world connect Project called the Johnson/Gilbert Family File That has lots of Rices and Holdens in it. I found all of my ancestors on it down to my gggggrandfather George Rice, b in 1744, It goes back to Lewis Latham in England. I took a quick look and couldn't find an Alice, but I know there was a Deacon Edmund Rice who came over from Suffulk England to Mass. in the early 1600,s and although my Ancestor John Rice came from the same place and had a father named Edmund it is not he same man. Maybe you Alice Rice is from him? I still think there must be a connection but can"t find it. Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: Alice M. You said you have Harringtons,Rices, Holdens and Greenes. Ohio sometime after 1808 , thats when their last child was born and all 5 0f their children were born in RI and died and are buried in Ohio, Union Co. is a little north of Columbus. Sarah Soule is my gggggrandmother and is the ggggrandaughter of George Soule who came over on the mayflower. The Rices go back from George to John Rice who came over from Suffolk Eng. and married Elizabeth Holden dau. of Randall Holden and Frances dungan. does any of this connect with anyone on your list? 3. Hi: I received this email yesterday, that I don't think was meant for me??? But I was really interested because you mentioned Coventry, and all my ancestors came from Coventry Kent RI, their surnames Are Harrington, Rice, Holden, Soule, and there are some Greene"s in my family tree, but I'm not sure I'm in direct line to them, they are cousins. Wasn't Nathaniel Greene next in command under George Washington? I would surely like to know if there is a connection. The Soule that I mentioned is George Soule who came over on the Mayflower, He is my 8th ggrandfather so my roots run deep in New England. I wonder how I received your Email, but I would really like to know if there is a connection, and how to get records, (birth, Marriage and cemetery records. etc.) I hope to come to RI next Spring, my family has been in Ohio since early 1800s.Please let me know how I got your Emails, as I am really puzzled, but It might be a new connection for me . 3. Hello Arlan I was trying to see if John Sweet died after the marriage to Priscilla Day. They married 05 Nov 1752 Coventry, R.I. Is this Priscilla Day the same Priscilla who married Ebenezer Wellman 26 Mar 1761 in Norton, (Attleboro area) MA? His 2nd marriage. Priscilla & Ebenezer settled in Mansfield, MA. How many members of the family (if any) took the ships to NS / NB. Thanks for the e-mail & good luck with your research. 3. Jim -- Can you provide more details about the 1761 ships to NS? Why this exodus, and why then? I'm looking for a Morey/Mowry who was in Saint John in the 1790s, and I'd like to prove that he came from the RI Mowrys (Kent and Providence Counties).
