In a book called, Early Virginia Immigrants 1623 - 1666, by: George Cabell Greer, A Richard Riggs by Arthur Smith landed in Isle of Wight in 1637. Fifty years later in 1687 Abraham Riggs age 13 and brother Isaac Riggs age 15 landed in Accomack County, Virginia under the Head Rights Law.
