Dear Riggs connection: This may be the Rigg or Riggs family that I have tracked from time to time. Are the male ancestors either Stephen or William, rhe latter known as "Uncle Billy" Riggs? If so they are a branch of the Rigg/Riggs family from North Carolina who came to WVA about 1810 or 1820. Billy Riggs is credited with having the first ferry across the Kanawha River. Ring a bell?
