In the 'Last Will and Testament' of Ruben Riggs (1749-1837) it states that 'I also bequeath to my grandsons Jeremiah HENDERSON, William CONDON, Ruben W. RUNNELS and Thomas P. NORTON, each two dollars. I have the names of the children of Reuben RIGGS listed as: Jacob RIGGS b abt 1776, David RIGGS b abt 1781, Jane RIGGS b abt 1782 m Jacob CREEK, William RIGGS b 1784 m Millie McGHEE, Mary RIGGS b abt 1786 n Henry MARGAIN (possible last name was MORGAN), Margaret RIGGS b abt 1788 m Caleb REECE, and Phebe RIGGS b abt 1790 m James STUBLEFIELD. It also states that at the death of his wife Mary (Crawford) RIGGS, all the house and kitchen furniture is to be sold and divided among his four children, Phebe RIGGS, William RIGGS, Mary MORGSN and Margaret POOR.
