Mary, I think we talked once before. What was the birth date for William Franklin again? Charity's brothers and sisters were born in the 1830's and 1840's. I should list them as this is going back to the list. Going back to a former question Sarah asked. I would think Samuel was born in 1796 still, as he married 9 Jun 1820;(I don't have a place for that marriage yet either) SAmuel Riggs and Sebrina Splawn had these children: 1) Phoebe, born 29 Dec 1822 died young 10 Sep 1824 2) Mary Riggs 1 Dec 1824; I believe she married a William Hoover, born in 1816 3) John Riggs, 24 Aug 1827. He died 31 Sep 1857. He married Barriba (?) Allen, born 1833. (John died when he was just 30) 4) William Riggs 1 Sep 1829 5) Isaac Riggs 8 Sep 1831 (some records have it 1832) But he died in the Battle of Shiloh, TN, 6 Apr 1862. (He was only 31 when he died.) 6) Charity or "Chantz" Riggs born 29 Apr 1834 and died 17 Sep 1871. She married 25 Dec 1856 Thomas William Hutton, M.D. (She died at 37) 7) Phariha Riggs 12 Jan 1832 8) Azariah Riggs 7 May 1837 and died 28 Nov 1861 (we aren't told how he died, but he was only 24) 9) Francis Mary Riggs 22 May 1839 10) Sabrina Riggs 26 Dec 1849 and she died 17 Feb 1883 ( died at 34) ( If the death date we have for Samuel is right, 12 Feb 1842 Campbell Co., KY, then this child must be from Sebrina's second marriage to Peter Goodman. But if so, why wouldn't she bear his name??) 11) Nanroi Riggs 4 Jun 1845/1855 12) Francis Edney Riggs 13 May 1847/1857 (male) and died young 6 Apr 1862 Life must have been really hard back then, for so many of this family to die young.
