Also on census records for KY. He later believed it might be William RIGGS married Ruthy DAUGHERTY 9 March 1809. The Riggs | Staton family connection, I explained in another post, might be better explained as a Dicken's connection in my line. It comes from Christopher Dicken's who was married to Carter Peake's sister. Carter remember is the one married to Elizabeth Riggs. Christopher Dicken's daughter Lucy DICKENS married Joseph RIGGS...and if the info. I received on that family is right, then Joseph was the son of Abraham Riggs and Mary Byrd or Brett. Other siblings would then be: William H. RIGGS 1755 in Accomack Co., VA Mary Riggs James Riggs Elizabeth Abraham Harrison Waters Isaac B. Thomas M. Sarah On her husband's will is a witness W. D. Riggs, which it has been guessed by another researcher, to possibly be William D. Riggs married to Darcus.
