Sue, My guess is that your Samuel Riggs is likely from the Maryland, possibly one of the two Riggs lines there. But there is a Riggs line in VA too. After Rev. William Riggs my lines becomes a little comfused.. I have a Samuel Riggs, born January 20, 1765 in Montgomery (Perhaps Montgomery County), MD, said to have moved to Kentucky. I also have a John Riggs, born 1740 in Frederick, MD, died 1827 in Aberdeen, OH. When mustered out at the end of Rev War he moved to Kentucky, later went to Ohio.
