I have had someone check Meigs Co for guardianship papers on the children of this couple but so far have found nothing. If anyone has any information please contact me!!! As for John Augustus... I have some information regarding AUGUSTUS RIGGS son of Wm James and Violena ( Philena) Dye Riggs. I have not seen his name as John Augustus, but then again his father seemed to go by his middle name. I have Augustus Riggs b.April 1834 Meigs Co, OH died 1901 Meigs Co. Married Alzina Stiles Feb 1854. Three children that I know of, maybe more: Ira, James and John Robert. Bridget
