It's ok Christen, thanks for your response, Sue ----- Original Message ----- From: C Rosamilia Sent: Monday, May 13, 2002 3:16 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [RIGGS-L] A RIGGS SUTTON...etc....DORCUS, DAUGHERTY, or DICKENS Accomack VA Hi Catherine- You know this didn't come out the way it started. I go look things up to compile here, and it ends up all different. Then I run out of time, and am anxious to send it. I apologise for not making this post clear. I meant to say that a researcher on the Peake line, thought that W. D. Riggs who signed as a witness on Carter Peake's will (wife Elizabeth Riggs, my brick wall), might have been one of two fellows. The first William D. Riggs married to Darcus, age 77 in the 1850 Marion County Census, living in the Loretto precinct actually, of Washington County. That precinct later became Marion County. They had an elder woman, Rutha living with them, and he thought perhaps that Rutha was misremembered by my family as Rebecca. Next, he thought that perhaps William Riggs married to Ruth Daugherty, 9 March 1809, might be the brother of my Elizabeth b. 1801. I had nothing further on these people. That researcher speaks with other researchers in the family by phone or by mail, so I don't know how readily available any of that info. might be, should the line be proven. I'm sorry, I wish I had more to offer, myself- Christen Catherine Hodnett wrote: >Did you have a definite wife and family for William D. Riggs?
