    3. Marvalene, There is John L Riggs (b. 3/30/1824 s/o Mahlon Riggs and Lydia Williams) who married a Dorothy J. Biles (daughter of Alexander P. Biles). John and Dorothy had a son J.A. Riggs who was born in 1854. I didn't catch the beginning of the thread so I don't know if this person has already been mentioned as a possibility. This information was taken from the "Beers project" website several years ago so I have not personally proven this information. I have some information on the Riggs' who settled in Southeastern Ohio (I'm descended from Jeremiah and Rachel Keller Riggs/Alvin Perry&Nancy Stevens/Wesley Perry & Loraney Hart<interesting story goes with Wesley and Loraney if interested>/William Herbert & Johanna Bolin). Feel free to contact me if you would like additional info on this line. Carolyn Marvalene wrote: > I believe that my John Augustus Riggs, Meigs Co., Oh. is a part of the > Washington Co., Pa. 3. Dear Carolyn, Would you have any connection to a Noah Riggs of Adams County, Ohio? He married Martha Washburn. 3. Carolyn, In the 1880 census of Jackson Co., WVa, my Augustus Riggs is living next to Alvin Perry Riggs. The fact that Alvin Perry names his daughter Augusta and one of the sons of Augustus Riggs names a son Ira Perry makes me believe that there is a connection through Jeremiah. Augustus names his first son, James M. (Mahlon?) Seems like I have heard somewhere the story on Wesley, but would appreciate hearing the facts again. Incidently, I have Bolin connections too and have done research on the Bolins in Athens, Meigs and Vinton Co's. I have looked at the Pa. Web Site, Beers Bios, and gleaned the Riggs info from that source. Always looking for new sources though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carolyn McGuire" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 13, 2002 2:59 AM Subject: [RIGGS-L] John Augustus Riggs > Marvalene, > > There is John L Riggs (b. 3/30/1824 s/o Mahlon Riggs and Lydia Williams) who > married a Dorothy J.
