Hi Catherine- I had just added this to the word file I am saving on Riggs Posts that May be related to my Riggs Brickwall. I thought of you... "Campbell County, comes into existance in 1800, and is at the North Tip in the slightly East area of KY...just on the Ohio Border Green County comes into existence the same year, and is South of Washington Jefferson County is in existence in 1790, and is on the Ohio River In 1800 Bullit, Nelson, and Washington County spring up to the East of Jefferson, skirting around the South Easerly direction from the Ohio River. Jefferson was cut into was cut quite a bit...creating of it, Henry, Shelby, a lot of Spencer County, and a County which used to be much larger than it is today, called Gallatin, out of it." The family groups I am studying go from Lincoln, Casey County to Jefferson County, right through Washington, Nelson, and Bullit around the turn of the 17th century. That always confuses me, and what I mean is in the beginning of 1800.
