Bridget and others who replied to my posting on John Augustus Riggs. I have the information on John Augustus Riggs. (birth date, marriage, death, etc.) What I don't have is proof of his parentage. Only the story that he is one of the children of James and Philena and Thomas Dye sent Downing to Iowa to bring back to Ohio after the death of James and Philena. To my knowledge, there has not been any proof of this story. But, if anyone can definitely prove this parentage, I would be so elated. He is my brick wall.
