Tim, Sorry I haven't been keeping up as closely as I should have. Is this volume solely about TN? On the chance that you may know of some who came to TN from VA or NC, I'd like to ask once again if you (or anybody else) has a record of a Mahala RIGGS who married Elkahah LEWIS, mid-19th century in or near Surry Co., NC. This is one of my really tough brick walls, so I don't know who her parents were. Her relatives could well have moved to TN. I don't know whether my computer can handle a whole book. How long is it? Mahala Riggs is in my father's maternal line. We plan to have a male cousin tested for that lines mtDNA. It would of course not be a Riggs line but would take Mahala's maternal line back--however far it can go.
