Beverly, thanks for your reply. I believe that the Reuben Riggs you refer to lived & died in Giles County, Tennessee and apparently was NOT the same Reuben Riggs who lived in Warren County, Kentucky. I know that Reuben Riggs in Warren, KY was the father of my Jane Riggs--I have a copy of his original, hand-written consent to her marriage in 1803. Reuben Riggs who lived in Giles, Tennessee never lived in Kentucky, according to his Rev War pension record. Also, he does not list a daughter named Jane (Riggs Creek) or any "Creek" grandchildren in his will. Finally, this Reuben Riggs was taxed in Grainger County, TN in 1799, while my Reuben Riggs was taxed 1799-1803 in Warren County, Kentucky. Somebody please correct me if I have made any errors in my reasoning above--I'm new to Riggs research! Help! Does anybody know anything about this other Reuben Riggs??
