Ginny, Do you have any Riggs that came into TN, MO or OK? Looking for Riggs that might belong to a Samuel Riggs who married Sebrina Splawn. They may have lived more in MO and even ARK than OK. Three states come together at the corners, more or less, in the area I am interested in; the Grove, Jay area of Deleware Co, OK. The state lines of OK, MO, KS, and even ARK are close to this area. Elizabeth Ann Treadaway, died in a prison camp in 1861 in Brooklyn NY) as the son of Jesse Riggs and Rebecca Ponder? Augustus is listed in the 1850 Itawamba Co. MS census as 23 years old, which would put his birthyear as 1827, but there is only one son listed with Jesse and Rebecca in the 1830 census, who is presumably Henderson, born in 1830. Of course we all know that census records can be way off. I got the information that I have about Augustus' parents from those elusive "family records" which can also be pretty far off the track.
