Does anyone know the names of parents for Samuel W. RIGGS, b. June 4, 1839, Lawrence Co., AL; d. May 12, 1902, Decatur Co., TN? He married: first, Louisa J. TAYLOR; second, Margaret HILL; third, Mary J. Bryant. He represented both Decatur and Hardin Counties from 1873-75 in the 38th Assembly. He was in Co. D 6th TN Cav. during the Civil War. He enlisted Oct. 15, 1862 at 24 yrs old, and deserted April 13, 1863. Any help and suggestions as to how I can find the names of his parents would be most gratefully appreciated. Peggy Riggs Kopp
