Looking for more current Riggs who might be descendants of these two men: John Riggs, son of Samuel and Sebrina Splawn Riggs, born 24 Aug 1827, MO; he married Barriba Allen, who was born in 1833. I don't know if they stayed in MO or moved elsewhere. They had one daughter I know of: Sebrina Riggs But they were married about ten years before John died about 1859. William Riggs, son of Samuel and Sebrina Splawn Riggs, born 1 Sep 1829 MO; I don't know who he married. Of the daughters of Samuel Riggs, who was born in 1796, prob KY or TN, one, Charity, married Thomas Hutton and they moved into Neosho Co., KS. A Mary Riggs born 1 Dec 1824 MO married William Hoover 23 Jan 1844; he was born in 1816 OHIO. Another son of Samuel, Isaac, died in the Civil War at the Battle of Shiloh; another son died in 1861, Azariah Riggs, but we aren't told how. There were two other daughters, Phariha, born in 1832, and Francis Mary born in in 1839, and a Nanroi (?), who appear to have lived to maturity. Several died in infancy, or as children.
