There was a young boy by the name of Chris Riggs that lived with my great-uncle and aunt, Thomas L. (Crenshaw) Hinken and Mathilda Hinken in Morgan County near Stover, MO. Another great-uncle and aunt of mine, George and Ida Helmig, raised a little girl named Leota Riggs (born 04 November 1896). (Leota was about three years old when she came to live with the Helmigs.) It is believed that Chris and Leota were brother and sister and that their parents were Samuel G. Riggs and Martha Crenshaw (born 1860). Sam and Martha were married 08 October 1877 in Benton County, MO. Martha was a sister to my great-uncle, Thomas L. (Crenshaw) Hinken.
