Mildred, If your Arthur Riggs came out of TN, do you know when he was born? I am seeking information on a Samuel Riggs born 1793/1796, who I am pretty sure came of TN, following the usual migration route, into Chariton Co., MO. He married Sebrina Splawn, who was born 1806 in MO somewhere, and they lived in Jackson, Ray, Daivess and Grundy Counties, MO. Samuel died about 1842, and some years later, Sebrina married Peter Goodman. That is when she moved to Grundy County. I think Samuel had a brother, father, or uncle named William Riggs. Samuel and John Splawn witnessed the will of this William in Ray County, MO, 1828.
