My husband, Bill Riggs is descended from Shadrack Riggs and his father, Giles. Kissin Cousins is a great book by Annette Hill Jones & Lois Mayo Jones. There were some assumptions made, such as John Riggs, 1st husband of Mary Hardison Beasley was brother of Jesse Riggs, 2nd husband of MHB. That is incorrect. Jesse was the son of Shadrack, but John was the son of James who died in 1826! The book is well researched and I recommend it highly. Annette & I were in high school together and played basketball.
