Hi Sue, Sorry to say that non of my Samuel Riggs fit your details if you are sure your Samuel was born in 1796. The closest I can come up with has my Samuel's parents married in 1806 in Accomack County Virginia. Also Bethuel Riggs is not of my line at all. My Riggs line starts in 1687 with Abraham Riggs age 13 and brother Isaac age 15 both brought to Accomack County, Virginia under the "Head Rights Law". Sorry I can't be of any help this time.
