Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HSDBAIB/1419.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for your prompt response Geoff.I have tried most avenues to find our Louisa in England,entering the United States and searchable marriage records online.I am aware of the Louisa Rigg of Upleatham but she was still there, aged 16,on the 1891 census.Our Louisa is supposed(as per 1920 US census)to have arrived in the US in 1888. In the 1920 census she was in Allegheny in Pennsylvania and her age was recorded as 39.If that was correctly recorded,and based on that having to be her age in the year prior to the census,then she was born in 1880. The death record for her son Robert(the 3rd)refers to his mother as Louisa Rigg of Bradford England whereas other records refer to her as Louisa A Riggs.To rub salt into the wound she named her first daughter Louisa A. There is an answer out there somewhere Geoff and I would be very grateful for any clues. Regards, Kev.
