    3. David, Does your information happen to include a Lott RIGGS, VA or NC, in the mid to late 1700s? His daughter, Mahala RIGGS, was born in 1806 and married Elkanah LEWIS in or near Surry Co. NC. A brick wall behind my Lott RIGGS. I know this is a long shot, but I'd appreciate any information. My family is having an mtDNA test to shed information on the maternal line of Mahala Riggs. This of course wold NOT trace the Riggs line. We cannot trace RIGGS unless we run into some other cousins somewhere. Such is genetics!
