Riggs (age 18) is listed as being from Canada. There's also a family of Alma Riggs (43), with 8 children. These were all found in Clinton Co, Bloomfield Twp. Peggy

    2. Catherine S Hodnett
    3. Brian, I have Riggs I believed lived in Tn, and Mo. In Mo they were in Daviess, Ray and grundy counties. mid 1800's. Samuel Riggs was born in 1796. Most of his children were born in the time frame of your Thomas. I don't know where Samuel was born yet. If you come across anything on this family that might connect to your Thomas let me know, please, and I will try to do vice versa. Samuel married Sebrina Splawn who was born in TN, I believe, but the Splawns are strong in MO, too. Sue ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! 1. [RIGGS-L] Samuel Riggs and Charity Riggs of New Haven, CT
    2. Catherine Hodnett
    3. I am resubmitting this List: I have often wondered about this Samuel Riggs and wife Charity Riggs. They are of New Haven, CT. Does anyone know if her maiden name is Riggs? I have a Samuel Riggs born 1796 who had a daughter, Charity Riggs. Lots of similar family names. Is this a coincidence or what? Can anyone tell me more about Samuel and Charity Riggs, married in 1770. There is a spot in their list of children where Samuel of 1796 could fit. But they could not have been married in 1770 as one record says because Samuel Riggs was born in 1770. Their earliest children appear to be a set of twins born in 1797. There could have been a child born in 1796. Is anyone researching this family right now? Sue Hodnett

Remember that there are several differences of opinion about certain sections of the book. In other words some of the information contained needs to be documented more thoroughly.
