    3. Sue, I can't tell if the names ring a bell or not; I know I have Riggs relations in Delaware Co., OK, but I can't get any names to work with so I can't help anyone either. I am supposed to be getting some information from a Riggs relation soon with something to work with, but I really am beginning to think the information isn't coming. 1. Re: [RIGGS-L] CHARLEY ALLEN RIGGS
    2. Hi Kathy, I too am researching the Riggs, Vandevender clans. Charley Allen was my g-uncle; uncle to my father, Harvey Bible Riggs. Arvella, Charley's wife, we called 'Aunt Valley' as young kids. Sarah Susanah Vandevender was my grandmother. My family lived in Stockton, Ca. and Uncle Charley and Aunt Valley lived in Manteca, Ca. This inquiry in timely since I spent this weekend working on the Vandevender side of my family. I've only been at this project for about two months and spent most of that time on the Riggs'. Charley, according to old records, was the keeper of the family bible that went back quite a few generations but I haven't found who has either the actual book or a copy of the family pages. There are microfilms of them in the LDS archives. I would love to share information and would very much like a copy of their wedding picture. If you have a scanner you can make a copy for e-mail. The only Lucas I know of is 'Sam Lucas' who married Uncle Charley's daughter Ethel Ruebell. They had three children; Mary Ann, Betty Jane, and Albert Lucas. Ethel married three times. Let's talk some more, Sarah (Riggs) de Bree [email protected]

    3. I'm interested in your mention of Cyrus Riggs. My great-great grandfather was Cyrus Riggs, born about 1772 in Monongalia County, Virginia. About 1802 he married Mary Thomas. Cyrus died in December of 1814 in Monongalia County, Virginia. Could this be the same Cyrus Riggs? Thanks, Dick Webber Edmond, Oklahoma [email protected]
