BGCARWILE, I have been looking at various Riggs sites and find a John Riggs, possible father of one Azariah Riggs born around 1803/1804. In a list of heirs John left, I think it was a deed and not a will listing the heirs, there was also mentioned a Nancy Keen. Wouid you know more about this family, and anything about Nancy Keen: strongly suspect she was a Riggs. I tried emailing a David Riggs about this, as I think it came from him, but his email address is no longer valid. If David Riggs sees this, please contact me. Greetings, I am trying to track down the Texas descendants of Samuel Riggs, b. ca. 1695, of Morris Co., NJ, whose parentage is unproven. Samuel had four sons: Reuben (my ancestor, who lived in NJ and died from smallpox in NY in 1776 as a soldier in the NJ Continental Line); Samuel, Edward and Timothy. Samuel, Edward and Timothy moved to NC and some of their descendants ended up in Texas. My task over the next few months is to untangle the various Texas Riggs families to determine which ones originated in NJ and which ones came from MD or elsewhere. I live in Austin and will be spending time at the Texas State Library and Archives. If there are Texas Riggs families you are searching for (pre-1910 only) let me know who you are looking for; I am willing to look them up as I go through the various sources. Evan

Where in NC is Daniel Riggs. Never heard of him. Take what you get from Ancestry.com with a grain of salt. All that stuff is not proven. Never heard of Lnu either. Harriette Riggs Raleigh NC
It is entirely possible. There seems to be so many blanks; or maybe too many Riggs.
