Hi Annella- Thank you for your reply. I have checked with Bobby Carwile on several of my RIGGS relatives and he has been a great help. Your Clisby Evans Riggs must be the one b in 1798, is that correct? The John Washington RIGGS I have been searching for was b 1795 and is a brother to your Clisby Evans. I ran across a post just recently whereas another John Washington RIGGS is mentioned and they claim that this John was b in 1840 There are so many John's and Clisby's that it almost makes your head swim. The person that mentions the John Washington Riggs b 1840 is a brand new researcher and if there is anything I can do to help them I would really be happy to do that. It sounds like we have some relatives in common here. Hope to talk to you again. Thank's again. I'm fairly certain that the John Washington Riggs I mentioned was born in 1840. I found him on the 1900 US Census for Lawrence Co. when he was married to his third wife. He had 2 son from his second marriage to Rachel E. Lott, John Ulysses Riggs (Sept 26, 1871-Jan 5, 1894), and William Tecumseh Riggs (my grandfather). As I said, I am new to this, and haven't found out much so far. Would like to know what Riggs family you have in Lawrence Co. B.Patterson
