I am looking for my grandmother. Lula Katherine Riggs b. Nov 18, 1878 in Shelbyville, IN d. Apr 5, 1936 in Riverside, CA. m. to Ira Yelton Aug 9, 1893 in Newport, KY. I know that she had one sister named Clara (older or younger, I do not know), I do not know of any other siblings. I do not know her mother's or father's given names. Her mother's maiden name was Grizzle or Gizzel. I have been told it is Grizzle. Her mother's obit gave her name as Mrs. William Monroe survived by daughters Lulu Yelton and Clara Neuber, Father Robert Gizzel, brother Albert Gizzel, three unnamed half brothers and two half sisters. She died Sept 14, 1910 in Washington township and the funeral services were at the Lewis Creek Baptist church, I believe the state is IN. The obit stated that she was 60 years of age and was born in KY. I assume this is a second marriage since my grandmother's maiden name was Riggs. Any information will be appreciated, I seem to have hit a brick wall with this. Marjorie Yelton Parks
Sandy, I would think you are familiar with the file manager on your computer. In Windows it is called Windows Explorer and is the icon with the magnifying glass. Locate the FTW directory and double-click on the name FTW (or ftw) to show the files that are in it. Find the ones ending in .ftw. Then use your mouse to right-click on the name of the file, select properties from the popup window and you will see the file size. Richard P.S. You can just send messages about this problem to me. You don't have to send them to the whole list. ----- Original Message ----- From: <SandraG627@aol.com> To: <RIGGS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 22, 2004 7:25 AM Subject: Re: [RIGGS-L] Family Treemaker. | In a message dated 1/21/2004 9:14:23 PM Eastern Standard Time, | rriggs3@optonline.net writes: | | > You can use right click then | > properties on the filename to check the date and the size. Wanda, You might want to look at the FTM directory and see if you have more than one file of info. Your program might be opening a file that is an earlier version of your information. You can use right click then properties on the filename to check the date and the size. You probably want to open the largest file to see all your info.
