She died peacefully December 14, 1998 with her daughter - Shirley and husband M.E. ``Bud'' Conrad, and her son - A .J. Davis, Jr. and wife, Jeanne at her bedside. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren - Cynthia, Marvin, Vivian, Neal, Kirk, Jim and Randall, along with her 7 great-grandchildren. She was the Widow of Andrew J. Davis, Sr. and Joseph A . Riggs. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday, with the family present from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Friday in the Chapel of Colonial Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be at 1:30 pm in the Historic Snake Creek Cemetery near Needville. Pallbearers will be grandsons and oldest great-grandson. If desired, donations may be sent in lieu of flowers to: Snake Creek Cemetery Association, C/O Carol Jones, PO Box 572, Missouri City, Texas 77459. The family wishes to thank the staff at Faith Memorial Nursi! ng Home for their kindness and loving care. Mom was an Angel on earth. She was devoted to the care and well-being of her family with unending energy.

She was deeply loved by all who knew her for her friendly manner and unselfish nature. Marion was born in Modesto, California, the only daughter of C.A. and Carrie Muscio. Following high school graduation in Ripon, Calif. she continued her studies at a business college, then did office work in an aluminum plant. She then was employed as a bank clerk in Modesto. It was there she met her future husband, John N. Riggs, now deceased. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1997. They lived in Sacramento where John served in the attorney general ' s office. Later they lived in Coronado then Chula Vista, where they were active in the San Diego Country Club. As the sister-in-law of tennis star Bobby Riggs she enjoyed knowing many prominent tennis players and other sports personalities, this in the course of traveling throughout the United States ! and to England. Marion is survived by her only brother, Robert Muscio of El Cajon, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. February 19, 2004, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Remington Club Scholarship Foundation in care of the San Diego Foundation. We are a group of Riggs cousins who all descend from Abraham Riggs who was age 13 when he and his brother Isaac Riggs age 15 were brought to Accomack County, Virginia in the year 1687 under the Headrights law until reaching the age of 21. Today our line is spread across America and beyond. We suspect some of our early Accomack Riggs went to Maryland and North Carolina. But have not been able to prove this. If you have the link, we will be happy to welcome you to our Riggs Cousin's Club. We welcome anyone that is of the same Accomack Riggs line. A large number of our line have been found in Kentucky, in Washington, Daviess, McLean and other Counties. Also Arkansas, Louisiana and too many other places to mention.
