    1. Indian River - where was it?? (Ca 1650s, Kingstowne area)
    2. In researching the role of Richard Smith in the Atherton land deals, I found that Richard ended up with a parcel of land such that he owned "all of the land between Narragansett Bay on the east, the Indian Road on the west, the Cove on the north, and the Annaquatucket River to the south. " (Quote from the Updyck genealogy by Charles Wilson Opdyke). I know where the bay is and the Annaquatucket River but where was the Indian River? Also does anyone know to which "cove" this quote refers? Thanks, Donna in RI

Also does anyone know to which "cove" this quote refers? Hi Donna, Here is a link to a map showing the area. The "cove" could be Duck Cove or north of that is Wickford Cove. http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=41.54889&lon=-71.43667 Indian Road would be the old Post Road or Boston Neck Road, wouldn't it? Hope this helps! Sheila
