    3. This isn't a commercial announcement because no one except the RI Genealogical Society is selling - and they are non-profit. I'm not profiting personally. The point is simply to get the word out to anyone who might be interested. The book, Thomas Clemence of Providence and his Descendants to the Year 2007, is now available from RIGS. I'm the author (Jane Fletcher Fiske), and it was financed by a trust set up by the late Roberta Stokes Smith, then donated to RIGS. It is 456 pages long including index, and MANY illustrations, both old and new. For those descended from Thomas Clemence, this should be the definitive work for years to come. There's a lot concerning intermarriages with Mathewson, Barnes, Olney, and Smith (John the Miller), among other famiies, and it's all as thoroughly referenced in primary sources as I could make it. I had great help from several Clemence descendants across the US. If Arlan doesn't object to my putting price info here I will do so, but if he does, contact me or RIGS for price and shipping information. Also, for anyone seeking the Edward Larkin book, please contact me. Again, I'm making no profit, but I do have copies for sale for the author's son, Bruce Larkin, who is trying to recover his printing costs. Respectfully, Jane
