Nina I would like your advice since I have been thinking about joining the New England Historical Society or the RIHS. Which one would allow more search materials?

Nina, Depends on what you are looking for. NEHGS has online stuff that you can access. If you go to their website www.newenglandancestors.org it will show what's available. RIHS doesn't have online availability of records so unless you can get there to do research I wouldn't think it was money well spent. Stefanie
