> The children I show are: > Mary who m John Eldred. (note John Eldred did not marry, Mary, the > daughter of John-3 (Benjamin-2, John-1 of Q) as published in some > genealogies.) > Philip > James > Sarah who m Mr. Bennett. > Ann who m Mr. Clark (William Clarke?) > Martha who m Joseph Matteson. > Elizabeth. The antecedents of this paragraph in my previous message were unclear. These are the children of John-3 and Mary Greene. It would appear that the Philip Greene who m(1) Hannah Potter and m(2) Mary Baker, is the Philip named in the will of John Greene proved in Exeter in 1752. The children listed above come from this will. Philip of West Greenwich m(2) in 1783, Mary Sweet. As I suggested in earlier posts there are three contemporaneous Philips in RI. Philip of Warwick, Philip of West Greenwich, and Philip of Exeter. I couldn't find Philip of Exeter in the "standard" genealogies and asked the question where he fit. I should have looked in the genealogy I published in 1993 because when I did, there he was. I hope that clarifies things. Bill Wright
