    3. Does anyone know if the reference numbers in the above records relate to a specific city record? I.E.: OSPage: 17:29 OSPage: 9:147 I know this CD does not contain Pawtucket and area. Wonder if it covers Warwick / West Warwick? If found this on the familysearch.org page from the IGI and can find no further reference: PATRICK CONLY Marriages: Spouse: MARY KEELEY Marriage: 22 JUL 1855 Warwick, Kent, Rhode Island TIA, Ann

    3. Ann - those are Providence records. The CD contains -just- Providence records. Occasionally you find an event that happened in "North Providence" or Cranston.... and very, very occasionally, Warwick. Not sure how that happened.... except, maybe, the priest just happened to be in the vicinity of the Providence recording place rather than the local recording office... The few from Cranston I've found, have been either in the Olneyville/Cranston area or the South Providence/Elmwood area. The town border lines are right there. ...Can't explain Warwick..... The Original Source number you quote are Providence Vol. 17, pg. 29 and Providence Vol. 9, page 147. LDS has filmed the vital records from Kent Co.; also Cranston, East Providence.... Hope that helps. 3. Is this CD the same as the database on line at ancestry.com? Rhode Island Marriages, 1636-1930? The reason I ask is that this Keeley/Conly marriage is not included in the on line version. 3. Hi Ann - I can't say for sure, but they look like book & page numbers to me. The OS could be *original source* ? If the marriage took place in West Warwick, Kent, RI then I would take those numbers to mean Volume 17, Page 29 and Volume 9, Page 147 of the official record books of Warwick The marriage could be one of those, and the other might contain a reference to the marriage in another record, like a birth or death record of another family member. When you are at that record on the familysearch.org page, if you click on the film #, it will bring up the name of the source of the data. this one is Births, marriages, deaths 1649-1883 Warwick (Rhode Island). Town Clerk so it looks like this is a film/fiche of the vitals for Warwick that were filmed by the LDS. Hope this helps, Lisa ----- Original Message ----- From: "AHarney" <aharney@exis.net> To: <RIGENWEB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 17, 2006 12:24 PM Subject: [RIGENWEB] RI Vital Records CD > Does anyone know if the reference numbers in the above records relate to a > specific city record? > I.E.: > OSPage: 17:29 > OSPage: 9:147 > > I know this CD does not contain Pawtucket and area.
