Right now the AFGS has used books for sale on their site and the Notre Dame in soft cover @ $20 is one of the offerings. It might sound like a bit of $$ but when you consider that to purchase a birth, marriage or death certificate from RI Health Dept, Vital Records is now $20, a whole book for the same price isn't so bad. Although your marriage is early enough to be at RI Archives, as I mentioned in my other reply and should only be $2 or $3 to obtain if that's all you want. http://www.afgs.org/lists_1.html Specials - List 1 Books For sale a large assortment of used books Book # 365 Les Mariages de Notre Dame (1873 - 1979) Central Falls, RI SC {soft cover} $20.00 Lisa is also correct about the counties. RI doesn't have government at the county levels but the state is divided up into 5 counties non the less. I mentioned posting at the county board, in this case Providence County which is where Central Falls is located, only because there are those & I'm guilty of this, who check only the county board of their interest and might only rarely venture into the "Unknown" board. In the instance of this post, because it gatewayed to the RI List of which I am a member, I got it in my in box that was, did I wind-up looking at the "Unknown" board. as I said, I'm guilty of usually only looking at the county board...in my case Providence County and rarely venturing onto the Unknown board and I probably have company in this tendency. Along the same line, I've also noticed that there are those who rarely leave the message boards at Ancestry's sister site, Genealogy.com so I will usually post at both sets of message boards...Ancestry/RootsWeb and Genealogy so as to increase my chances of getting help. Anyway, check out the sale at AFGS as it's usually $55 for the Notre Dame marriages which is two volumes going up to 1988.
