    3. I have researched my Mother's line quite a bit for the past 5 years. I'm told she is a descendant of Roger Williams. What I do know is that my Grandfather, Raymond Williams (1912-1996), grew up in Spragueville and attended Burrillville HS, where he was a standout athlete. His father (my GGF), Charles Edwin Williams (1884-1944) owned a grocery store in Smithfield (Greenville); Charles had a brother Prescott Jackson Williams whose descendants still live in Spragueville. Charles married Amelia Dio; the Dio's also lived in Smithfield, RI but are originally from Tolland, CT and Fitchburg, MA. Charles' father (my GGGF), Andrew Jackson Williams (1858-1934) also lived in Greenville and is buried in Chepachet (Acotes Hill Cemetery); Andrew's wife is a Baker (Mary Ann Baker 1861-1943) born in Woonsocket and buried in Chepachet as well. Andrew's father (my GGGGF), Edwin Palmer Williams (1833-1906), was born in Olneyville and is buried in Greenville Cemetery. Edwin married Nancy Smith (1827-1900, daughter of Thomas Smith and Sarah Chilson). Lastly, Edwin's father (my GGGGGF), Cyrus Williams (1795-1874), was a Free Will Baptist Deacon and fairly prominent in the Old Smithfield society - Cyrus named his sons after Free Will Baptist Ministers (Zalmon Toby Williams and Cyrus Duraldia Williams); they're all buried behind a farm house on Old Mann School Rd right where it meets the Conner's Farm neighborhood. Unfortunately, I am stuck at Cyrus. I am interested in connecting with anyone who has knowledge/interest in the names/people referenced above. Mike Duquette
