http://www.afgs.org/ this is the website of the American French Genealogy Society located in Woonsocket RI. If you are able to get there, you can search for yourself through the many record books they have there. If you are not able to go, you can ask the society to do the research for you. If this is strictly do it yourself, you could try the surrounding towns of Pawtucket, RI. Attleboro, MA. Manville is a village of Lincoln. Central Falls was part of Lincoln until 1895. Another possibility - could they have gone back to NY where Philomene was born? If you don't think they would have done that, look at the churches where their first few children were born. Were they all at the same place? If you can get the baptism records of these children from the church, it might possibly mention where the parents were married. Another book they have at AFGS published by Quintin is Early American Franco American Marriages of RI. Something else that might help at the AFGS is Franco-American marriages of Rhode Island that are included in the unpublished Forget Files, by Dr. Ulysse Forget, M.D Do you have their obituaries? Depending on when they died, the obits might mention where they were married. Look in the french newspapers at the Woonsocket public library. they are too late for for their marriage announcement, but maybe you would find something in their for a big anniversary if they were married that long - 25, 30, 50?
