Today, 16 August, about fifteen people worked on the vandalized Warwick Historical Cemetery # 23 Gen. George Sears Greene. This lot has over sixty burials. Most stones having been, over the years, vandalized. Certified Welding volunteers reset the Martha Dana cross into a reinforced concrete underground form and began repairing the original iron fence with several sections up by 4 pm. They also reset three other large stones. Several volunteers reset other stones and tried to make sense of the many pieces of beautifully carved slate stones and granite. The grounds were cut and cleaned and have never in a long time looked so nice despite the distraction of broken markers. Other family names in this lot are: Westcott; Kenyon; Jerald; Phelon; Rice; Fuller; Burkinhead; Baker and Webster.
