Relatively yours, Scott The Avery family ancestors to two U.S.Vice Presidents,Schuyler Colfax and Nelson Rockefeller had a homestead called the Avery Hive that existed in Groton,Connecticut from the 1600's until it was tragically burned in the 1890's. From Thursday,September 13TH to Sunday,September 16TH archaeological work be done by professional archaeologists and volunteers on the site in Groton.Times planned are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Dr. Theodore "Ted" S.J.Davi,whose doctorate is in economic development but has an iterest in archaelogy as well possble credentialed professional archaeologists along with volunteers will be working on the site looking for artifacts. Volunteers are welcome and this is also an opportunity for a limited number of scouts to qualify for their archeology badges.Dr.Davi is involved in archeology badge requirements for scouts in Pennsylvania.Artifacts obtained will be for the Avery Memorial Association.
