    1. Newport Pirate trial July, 1723
    2. I am looking for the 14 pages of the trial transcripts entitled "Try[a]ls of Thirty-Six Persons for Piracy ...Held at Newport ...on the Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth days of July ...1723. They were printed and sold in "Boston by Samuel Kneeland, in Queen-Street, Below the Prison," I know they are on microfilm under "Early American Imprints, Series 1: Evans, 1639-1800." found in some of the larger libraries. Also the Rhode Island Historical Society may have a copy. M.E. Potter states On March 15 that"Early American Newspapers, Series I, 1690 to 1876" (are) available to members on the NEHGS website." It may be found there also. If any researcher has time to find the transcripts I think it would make a good read on this site. I would do it myself but I am disabled for a while with bad knees and am in Florida. Dave in Sand Key.
