My mother purchased a family portrait plan from Lorings when my daughter was born. We never used it after her first birthday portrait until we made an attempt when she was 6 years old and they were out of business. That is 30 years ago. I was told then that the entire chain of Lorings studios had closed because they owner had retired and that I had no way of recouping my losses. The Loring Studios in Brockton, Mass closed without any notice as did the one in Attleboro.
