In doing queries on the name Sheffield from this mailing list, I came a Joshua Sheffield, born Dec. 1, 1777 listed in an email posting from a Beth Hurd dated June 13, 2003. The posting was apparently an excerpt from "The Narragensett Historical Register, volume VII. January 1889 No.1 James N. Arnold, Ed. pp. 193-195 (births and deaths)" Anybody know how I might get more information on this resource? This might be my guy... the dates match....
