Samuel Underwood also served as Lieutenant in the "Kingston Reds" and his commission given him by Arthur Fenner, Governor of Rhode Island, is in the hands of his granddaughter, Mary Underwood Remley of Anamosa, Iowa. Samuel Underwood d. at South Kingston, R. I., in 1830.
