HI! I replied to this question: "Where is/was it?" last week in a posting to this list. In an older Atlas I found at just south of the intersection of Rt's 138 & 4, Indian Lake with a dam at it's southerly end which connects to a stream marked as the "Saugatucket" which continues to flow southerly until emptying into Point Judith Pond which appears to be a tidal estuary. Another Lister added that the dam was put across the Indian River some years ago to create a reservoir which is now known as Indian Lake. Apparently at this time the Indian River then became the Saugatucket. "Just thought you might want to know." Have yet to find the Indian on the map. ==== RIGENWEB Mailing List ==== Search the RIGenWeb Mailing List http://www.rootsweb.com/~rigenweb/mailsrch.html RIGenWeb Surname And Query List http://www.rootsweb.com/~riwashin/state/qryindex.htm
