I need some help here. I am looking for a family connection between Cornell Littlefield b 1782 p Block Island. and my g grandfather William Littlefield b 3-17-1828 p New Port. William named his first born son Cornell which was common to name a son after a father or relative. Cornell was a slave trader and wealthy, so was William from the beginniing of his adult life in Ohio where he eventually died. He married Rachle McRobert 1851 in Michigan.
