Jakes, Dr. Mae Jemison, Quincy Jones, Dr. Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot, Chris Tucker and Oprah Winfrey. There's a whole bunch more information on the site. Maybe some of these people can connect their families to the RI slave traders, but it doesn't specifically say so. I thought we determined that the program about the DeWolfes was called "Traces of the Trade" http://www.tracesofthetrade.org/about.html<http://www.tracesofthetrade.org/about.html> created by Producer/Director Katrina Browne There are several different programs about slavery being shown on PBS this month, but I don't think the Traces of the Trade is ready to be shown. I started to watch this one - African American Lives - but I fell asleep - hope to catch it again - the part I saw looked really interesting. PBS has great programs on history etc.... Hope they will be broadcasting all these programs wherever you all live.
