Hi Beth, I was just wondering if you would like to mention this on the "New England Societies" List. It is for mentioning meetings and events for Historical Societies or Genealogy Clubs or a Town event, or any event of an historical or genealogical nature. Betty (near Lowell, MA) FYI: Brief mention of my "concrete-block wall" - James CLARK who "appeared" in Little Compton ~1827, married in Westport, MA, in 1829, fathered a child in ~1836, and "disappeared" in 1844. He might have been a "travelin' man." He might have been the James CLARK on a ship in the St. Lawrence River in 1825 (CAN), and he might have been the James who got on a ship in New Bedford, MA, in 1844. The ship was heading out to the Indian Ocean, and he "deserted" in Australia in 1845. But, I have a suspicion that James was part of a New England CLARK family, but after 5 years it is still a suspicion. William CLARK in 1911 seems to be somehow involved with James' descendants. (on Lists for 8 years; now an Administrator for 8 Lists, including "New England Memories," "CAN-USA-Migration," etc.)
