Don, as for the RI VR documentation, we have only found the birth records for the following children of John and Naomi: John Taylor, B. 6 Aug 1716 Elizabeth Taylor, B. 3 Jan 1717 Benjamin Taylor, B. 27 Jan 1719 Charity Taylor, B. 10 Mar 1722 Kim Hi People...cuz Don and all... I have a question on the above....If John was born 6 Aug 1716...Elizabeth would have been a 5 month baby...I'm not so sure a baby born at 5 motnhs would have lived in those days...anyone got any suggestions here? As far as these Taylors being an elusive bunch...so are the ones they married...LOL My line goes down thru Elijah and Roby Stone...Elijah died in Burrillville 27 July 1880 while living with his daughter Mary (Mary married Cary Dyer Carpenter (nothing further on him) in Scituate abt 1849. Now, the questions are..what happened to Elijahs wife? and what happened to Cary Carpenter. they seem to have vanished into thin air. Now..I can understand why they were in Burrillville, as my grandmother was born there..the daughter of Charles Cary D. Carpenter..Charles the son of Cary and Mary was working in the mills there. Charles (also born in Burrillville) was married to Jane /Ayers/ (Eyers) 1851-1922 At the time of my grandmothers marriage, she was living in Moosup, CT with her motherJane and her grandmother in the house that the grandmother had originally went to from England..there is no reference to a father on her marriage in Moosup..and when they moved to Cranston after the marriage, the grandmother went with them...an no mention of husband there either... Why are these Taylors and Carpenter sooooooo elusive????They must have had a sense of humor as they certainly like to play "hide and seek".... Jean in RI
I have Elizabeth as being born 14JUN1717.
