Well, on second thought, I'd forgotten about the northern part of Illinois. Maybe someone would have gone up north on the Hudson to the Erie Canal into the Great Lakes and gotten to the Chicago area. Sorry, I have ancestors in southern Illiniois and I don't think about northern Illinois much. Patti
