All of the Days I've come across from that period were from Attleboro, Bristol, MA, which is close to Smithfield. The earlier ones came from Gloucester, Essex, MA. There was a Samuel Day, b. 24 Jun 1731 at Attleboro, son of John & Hannah (Robbins) Day, who was the right age to have married in 1754, however I have no evidence that he was the husband of Amie Plimpton.
